Gender-Based Violence: Towards an Understanding of causes & Prevention

Australia

This presentation intends to explore the causes of Gender Based Violence – specifically from the perspective of the individual abuser. There is recognition that causes can be explored at various levels of society and the specific contribution from Psychology is considered as being integrated with other levels. By establishing an understanding of causes we are better able to construct relevant and effective prevention programmes.
