Bio

I work as a clinical psychologist, currently in private practice, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I have a strong interest in working with couples and individuals concerning issues around gender and adoption.I worked for three years in the Johannesburg Metro Community Clinics and conducted therapy in Soweto, Alexander, Hillbrow and Discoverer’s Clinics. During this time, I worked with individuals, groups, children, teens, couples and adults and a variety of issues. I have conducted a number of research programs where my main focus has been gender issues often related to body image, feminism and masculinity.

I have a Masters Degree inClinical Psychologyfrom the University of the Witwatersrand and a Masters Degree inPlay Therapyfrom UNISA. The Wits psychology course has a strong focus on psychodynamic theory and practice, I also received practical experience in short term therapy, long term therapy andtrauma counselling. UNISA gave me a strong foundation in working with children.
