Shánna completed her BOccTher degree (cum laude) at the University of Pretoria in 2011. She is certified in Infant Massage (2013), Ayres Sensory Integration (2016) and Bobath Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Therapy (2016) and is in the process of completing her DIR floortime training. In 2018, she obtained her Masters degree from the University of Pretoria. Her research specifically focused on sensory modulation patterns in children with Cerebral Palsy. She has presented her research at local and international congresses, including the International Sensory Integration Congress (Hong Kong). She has worked in the field of paediatrics for 8 years, both in private and public sectors. She is currently employed at Forest Town School; an LSEN school which caters for children with varying special needs.
