This video covers the foundations of neuroanatomy. Starting with the gross anatomy of the brain and its lobes; sulci, gyri, grey and white matter are discussed. We then explore at the three sections of the brainstem, namely the midbrain, pons and medulla oblongata looking at the function of each section including its cranial nerves, and the clinical presentation of dysfunction. Lastly, the anatomy of a large white matter fibre structure, the internal capsule and its function and presentation in dysfunction is covered.
