Building Brains: The cortex and cerebellum

This video takes an in-depth look at the cortex and cerebellum. Firstly, the lobes of the brain and function are each briefly reviewed, and the anatomy and function of the cerebellum is presented. The three main arteries (anterior, middle and posterior cerebral arteries) supplying blood to the cortex are understood and the clinical presentation of a stroke to these arteries is explained. Lastly, the typical presentation of left versus right hemisphere lesions are discussed as well as the evidence in various areas of cognitive rehabilitation.
