Shelley Bradley-Scholey is the founder of Fortitude Psychological Therapy, a UK based trauma practice. The practice houses a therapy service, clinical supervision service plus training and courses. 

Shelley is a highly esteemed and accredited trauma therapist. Accreditations include being a EMDR Europe accredited EMDR Consultant and training facilitator, BABCP accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT) and Registered Mental Health Nurse (RNMH). 

Alongside running her private practice Shelley is a guest lecturer and supervisor on Trauma and Personality Disorder courses for the University of Oxford, works with commercial EMDR training providers and a regular public speaker. Her clinical and supervisory work offers a patient focussed integrated approach incorporating EMDR, Beckian CBT and Compassion Focussed Therapy. She is passionate about understanding trauma from the perspective of survivors, putting authenticity, compassion and healing at the heart of everything. Her expertise lies in working with complex difficulties and trauma related presentations including complex and multiple traumas, mass casualty events and disasters. 

Having worked in mental health since 2003, Shelley’s initial training and career in mental health began in 2003 and she has experience in the NHS, Private Sector and Ministry of Defence. Shelley served 14 years in the Armed Forces working in Defence Mental Health Services, delivering mental healthcare to personnel in the firm base and on combat operations in Afghanistan, working with elite British forces and leading a team of military mental health professionals. She has worked in leadership roles across the NHS in primary, secondary and tertiary services, developing trauma pathways and setting up trauma informed psychological therapy services. 

Shelley has worked with media, government agencies and charitable organisations offering her expertise across a wide range of high profile landscapes throughout her career.
