Harville Hendrix, Ph.D and Helen LaKelly Hunt, Ph.D. are partners in life and work. They are co-creators of Imago Relationship Theory & Therapy, and cofounders of Quantum Connections, LLC. Imago Relationship Therapy is a couple’s therapy practiced in over 60 countries by over 2500 therapists. Safe Conversations is a social movement to facilitate the creation of a relational civilization by distributing Safe Conversations® globally to 2.5 billion people (the tipping point of world population in 2050) over the next 30 years.
Harville received his doctorate in psychology and theology in 1970 and practiced couple’s therapy for more than 40 years. He is an educator, clinical trainer, and lecturer whose work has appeared on Oprah 18 times. Formerly, a professor at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, he is now co-chancellor and Distinguished Professor at Daybreak University.
In addition to her partnership with Harville in the co- creation and distribution of Imago Relationship Therapy, Helen is in the Women’s Hall of Fame for her contribution to the global women’s movement and in the Smithsonian Institute for creating Women Moving Millions and her leadership in creative women’s philanthropy. Helen is co-chancellor and Distinguished Professor at Daybreak University.
Harville and Helen are co-authors of ten books including three New York Times best sellers (GETTING THE LOVE YOU WANT, KEEPING THE LOVE YOU FIND, and GIVING THE LOVE THAT HEALS), their clinical text DOING IMAGO RELATIONSHIP THERAPY IN THE SPACE-BETWEEN and their most recent book HOW TO TALK WITH ANYONE ABOUT ANYTHING.
Harville and Helen have been married for over 40 years, have six children, eight grandchildren and live in Dallas, Texas and NYC.
