Dr AK Perkel is a clinical psychologist in private practice specialising in individual adult and couple psychotherapy. Previously a senior lecturer in psychology at the University of the Western Cape, has spent over 34 years working in private practice both clinically and writing theoretically in these fields. He has published numerous papers on the subject of couple and relationship dynamics. This presentation represents a fusion of neuroscience and psychoanalytic insights into couple dynamics.
