Carin’s fields of interest include Oncology, Palliative Care, grief, loss, crisis management and bereavement. She was employed at the Hospice Association of the Witwatersrand for 11 years, as a social worker and psycho-social training manager. Carin has also worked with the school community, medical community and the broader community, providing talks, training and skill development in the field of oncology, palliative care, loss and grief. Carin has consulted to Donald Gordon Hospital Oncology Ward, Radiation Oncology and private oncology units running debriefing sessions with Oncology nurses. Carin continues to run a private practice and works with children, adolescents and adults, dealing with a broad range of issues affecting individuals and families in the life cycle.
