Dr. Katie Crabtree is a Chartered Coaching Psychologist (BPS), researcher, coach, supervisor, and educator with a broad background spanning organizational learning and development, coaching psychology, and professional education.
She is the Founder of The Academy of Coaching Psychology (AoCP®), where she designs and delivers psychology-informed training for coaches, coaching supervisors, and allied professionals. Katie is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), an EMCC Master Practitioner Coach, and an accredited Coaching Supervisor with both the EMCC and BPS.
Katie completed her PhD in Population Health Sciences at Newcastle University, where her research explored how socio-cognitive mindfulness can enhance wellbeing coaching. Her work focuses on translating psychological research into practical approaches that strengthen reflective practice, behaviour change, and resilience within coaching and related professions.
Before establishing AoCP®, Katie held senior learning and development roles within organizations, designing leadership development, coaching, and employee wellbeing initiatives. Alongside her academic work, she has extensive experience designing and delivering professional development programs internationally, helping practitioners integrate evidence-informed psychological principles into everyday practice. She is a published author, peer reviewer, and regular contributor to professional coaching and psychology publications. Her teaching combines scientific rigour with practical application, equipping participants with approaches they can immediately apply in their own practice.
