Jill Wolf

CPD courses for psychologists

Jill Wolf, LCSW, is in private practice in Skokie, IL (just north of Chicago).

Jill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Illinois) and a member of the Academy of Clinical Social Workers (a national accreditation) with a Masters in Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 1989, after seeing Harville Hendrix on The Oprah Winfrey Show, she attended his "Getting the Love You Want" workshop for couples. Jill said, "Like many wives, I dragged my reluctant husband to the workshop so that Harville could fix him. Soon I found out how much work I had to do. Of course, that was really a blessing in disguise, because I didn't even like the person I had become in that marriage, but I didn't know how not to be that. I was fascinated by the Imago theory and tools and realized it had immense potential benefit, both personally and professionally. I eagerly began training with Dr. Hendrix."

Jill was certified as an Imago therapist by Dr. Hendrix in June of 1990, 1 of the first 5 therapists in the Chicago area to do so. Together with some of those colleagues, they founded the Institute for Imago Relationship Therapy of Greater Chicago, a professional training and support organization. She later went on to acquire more training, becoming a Certified Workshop Presenter for couples and singles, and an Advanced Clinician in Imago Therapy. Additionally, Jill is now a Faculty Member of the International Imago Training Institute where she teaches other clinicians who are interested in becoming Certified Imago Therapists. Jill has also trained with Pat Love, Ed.D. author of "Hot Monogamy." Additionally, she has completed the initial training with Dr. John Gottman, author of "Seven Principles of Successful Marriages." Jill trained under Dr. Steven Stosny and became certified to teach HEALS™, his groundbreaking anger management tool. Her private practice reflects the wisdom of these and other important mentors.

In addition to being the president of the non-profit professional organization, Imago Chicago, Jill is a very active and dedicated member of the Imago community, serving on a variety of committees.

Jill is co-author of The Conscious Self Imago Toolbox, and author of a chapter in Healing in the Relational Paradigm: The Imago Relationship Therapy Casebook.
