Louise Ashton (nee Honck). M.Communication Pathology. (Pretoria), PGDip AVT, cum laude (Aston University, UK), LSLS Cert AVT @ (AGBell Academy, Washington USA) is a Speech-Language Therapist and Audiologist who became certified as an Auditory Verbal Therapist whilst working at Auditory Verbal UK in London. She relocated back to South Africa after spending 12 years in the UK where she worked in the National Health service and at Auditory Verbal UK. She works remotely from South Africa as a Senior Auditory Verbal Practitioner and Training Lead at Auditory Verbal UK (https://www.avuk.org/)in England, delivering AVUK’s AG Bell accredited training and mentoring programme to practitioners around the world. In 2019 she started a private practice (http://auditoryverbal.co.za/) at the Johannesburg Cochlear Implant Program (https://www.jcic.org.za/) and delivers auditory rehabilitation to children 0-5 years old. She is a regular presenter at national and international conferences.
