Sheri Davimes is a social worker in private practice. She completed her Phd in social work in 2009 specializing in woman and child abuse, and did a post-doctoral fellowship at the Univeristy of Johannesburg thereafter. She has published in South African and international journals on the subject of women and child abuse. She has worked in numerous welfare settings and also consulted to organizations regarding policy, prevention and management of abuse issues. She further worked as the clinical director of KIDSAFE SA. Currently, Sheri works with adults, children and adolescents affected by anxiety in both group work and individual modalities. She is co-chair of the psychoanalytic ethics advisory committee and has also served on the social work private practitioners ethics committee.
