A Psychoanalytic Perspective on Anxiety

Prof Don Carveth offers a one-hour talk focusing on a psychoanalytic view of anxiety. Anxiety is one of the most common complaints encountered in psychotherapy. Prof. Carveth traces different psychoanalytic perspectives on anxiety, going into detail on Freud’s perspective, then looking at Melanie Klein, and finally considering what contribution existentialist philosophers make to our understanding of anxiety.
