Anxiety and Sensory Integration

The prevalence of anxiety disorders among school-aged children is on the rise, both in South Africa and across the globe. This debilitating condition impacts irrevocably on the young person’s academic success as well as their social and emotional development. This presentation will focus on the influence a child’s sensory system has on anxiety and the emotional well-being of the learner in the classroom and the speaker will highlight ways to help a child with these issues.
