Learn CBT for depression in children and adolescents in South Africa. Our psychology courses cover conceptualisation, planning, and skills building for young clients.
Working with depression in children and adolescents requires a tailored and developmentally sensitive approach. This practical CPD module explores how to effectively apply Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in therapeutic work with younger clients experiencing depressive symptoms.
Designed for psychologists working in clinical, school, or community settings, this course begins with a brief review of CBT theory before moving into a focused discussion on depression from a CBT perspective. A real-world case study is used to guide participants through the conceptualisation process, treatment planning, and the selection of evidence-based CBT strategies that are appropriate for young clients.
The course includes informative slides and downloadable resources to support learning and application in your own practice
