Dyslexia: Conceptual framework and therapeutic interventions

This talk by Speech-Language Pathologist Stephanie Jardine will assist other Speech-Language Pathologists, Teachers, Occupational Therapists, GPs and Educational Psychologists to build their knowledge and understanding of evidence-based intervention strategies and approaches for students with Dyslexia and students with specific learning disabilities. Stephanie will discuss a conceptual framework upon which the evidence-based strategies are established. She will also discuss specific interventions for reading and for writing. Stephanie outlines the common characteristics of effective, intervention-based approaches and offers some tools and strategies that can be implemented in practice.
