This course explores different approaches to dream work, treating dreams as embodied, living stories within a person's psyche. South African psychologists will compare major theoretical approaches within a Jungian framework, their assumptions and interpretive aims, and consider which dream-work methods suit which clinical contexts. Ethical and clinical considerations around when and how to introduce dream material are discussed, along with client factors such as therapeutic goals, readiness and presentation that shape the choice of intervention. The course is accredited by the HPCSA for CPD points and helps clinicians tailor dream work to each client.
