Deepening Dream Work: Tracking Aspects of Self & Universal Themes/ Patterns

This talk focuses on deepening professionals' capacity to perceive dream figures, including animals, as reflections of different aspects of the dreamer's psyche and deciphering the universal themes and patterns that pervade the dream landscape.

 

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this talk, participants will be able to:

• Identify and track multiple aspects of the Self as represented by dream figures, and describe their symbolic significance within the dream narrative.
• Analyse dream figures as expressions of intrapsychic dynamics, including disowned, emerging, or compensatory aspects of the psyche.
• Identify and interpret key dream metaphors and symbols in relation to underlying psychological themes, conflicts, and life circumstances.
• Differentiate between singular dream symbols and recurring symbolic patterns across multiple dreams.
• Apply clinically appropriate strategies to assist clients in exploring repetitive dream themes as indicators of unresolved psychological material.
