The Interaction of Basic Fears and Basic Desires in the Enneagram Styles

CPD courses & points for psychologists

Explore how basic fears and desires drive Enneagram types in South Africa. Enhance your CPD courses with these insights.

This talk looks at each of the nine Enneagram styles and how their basic fear and basic desire interact (most often unconsciously). The dance of these two aspects of type result in the behavioural patterns that we observe in the Types.  While noone type has a monopoly on any fear or desire, what we observe when working with they Types, is there is extra "traction" that can be gained in therapy, when we sensitively surface this dance in the client's awareness.
